Dear Friends,

Being a Chartered Accountant gives a feeling of pride & attachment for the profession to all of us; and trust me, the feeling is stronger & endearing when I represent all of you, as Chairman of the Chandigarh Branch.
Time has come for me to relieve myself of the duties of this august office, and pass on the baton to my successor. Believe me, serving this office has completely changed me as a person. The traits of responsibility, vision, companionship, team work & integrity which I have learned as the Chairman of your Branch, probably, I would not have been able to attain otherwise in my life.

As the time was nearing for the current executive to step down and the new executive to be elected, heartbeats of the candidates & all other concerned were pulsating fast. For me, it was a time for testing my own strengths &also my accountability towards the profession.
Then, by the grace of God and united cognition by all of you, for the first time in the history of Chandigarh branch, an executive was elected unanimously. It was a moment of elation & display of unity for all of us. I congratulate one & all for being a contributor to this historic moment. Your branch has also been commended by the ICAI for this unprecedented event.
On the eve of handing over my charge to my successor, I am a much relieved man today, as I know that the future of the Branch is in safe hands. The executive committee (2010-2012) tried to put in their best efforts in running the branch, applying their wisdom, under the guidance of our predecessors and seniors; as also unconditional continual support from all & sundry, as & when required.

I offer my humble gratitude to the Almighty for blessing me with the ability to serve you, and wish all the success & accolades for the new executive.

I also take this opportunity to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. I shall stay connected and shall always be available to serve all of you on all occasions.
